J.B. Hunt Adds Two Top Logistics Executives

    LOWELL, Ark.--May 7, 1999--J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., the transportation logistics company, is pleased to announce the addition of Joel Sutherland and David Roth to its J.B. Hunt Logistics business unit, a non-asset based engineered logistics management services company.
    Mr. Sutherland has been named Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Integration and will focus on the supply chain value creation initiatives at J.B. Hunt with current and prospective clients. He brings with him extensive supply chain management experience with leading wholesalers, manufacturers and third party service providers. Most recently, he was Vice President of Logistics for Formica Corporation. He has held executive positions as Vice President of Operations for the Japanese auto parts manufacturer Nippondenso and as Managing Director of CSX/Sea-Land Logisitics, a subsidiary of CSX Corporation. He also held executive level logistics positions at International Paper and ConAgra.
    Mr. Roth has been named Vice President for J.B. Hunt Logistics. His primary responsibilities will be in the areas of business development of systems technology and e-business capabilities. David is the former Senior Vice President of Marketing for Manugistics and, prior to that, Vice President of Marketing for American Software Company. He has an extensive background in developing and executing business development and marketing plans to drive business growth. While at American Software, he championed the implementation and rollout of Supply Chain Management as the primary business strategy. His experience in the software industry will be a tremendous asset to J.B. Hunt.
