Volvo Tops AutoPacific's Vehicle Satisfaction ListsROCKLEIGH, N.J., May 7 -- Volvo took first place among auto manufacturers and the Volvo S80 received the highest score of any vehicle considered in a recent vehicle satisfaction study conducted by AutoPacific, Inc. The 1999 Vehicle Satisfaction Scores are based on data collected from over 40,000 new vehicle buyers by AutoPacific, Inc. Among the considered factors are quality, style, performance, comfort, value and dealership experience. "Customer satisfaction is undoubtedly one of the most important elements in business today, and Volvo is delighted to be recognized for our efforts," remarks Hans-Olov Olsson, President and CEO of Volvo Cars of North America. According to AutoPacific, "The S80 met owners' expectation for attributes like comfort and quality, but greatly surpassed their expectations of image, style, interior package. S80 owners also feel that their cars represent excellent value." Since its introduction in the fall of 1998, the S80 has received a variety of awards including Strategic Vision's Total Quality Award, the European Design Award, the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada's Best New Prestige Car Award, Inside Automotives International's Automotive Interior of the Year, and Australia's National Roads and Motorist Association's Luxury Car of the Year.
