Dollar Rent A Car Receives Military Traffic Management Command Quality Award

    TULSA, Okla., May 6 -- Dollar Rent A Car has received the
Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC) quality award for sustained
superior customer service and responsiveness in providing the "best value."
Dollar is the first car rental company to win this highly coveted MTMC quality
award.  Nominees were selected based on outstanding service above and beyond
the call of duty when handling government business.
    Jerry Brown, Director of Transportation for the United States Navy,
nominated Dollar for the award based on the successful, long-standing
relationship between Dollar and the Navy.  He also cited the successful
handling of a large, long-term rental contract during a major ship-repair
project in San Diego, California.  At one point, Dollar had approximately
600 cars on rental, and provided the U.S. Navy preferential rates better than
the usual government rates along with special service amenities.  Dollar has
been the number one car rental company for the Navy each of the last three
years.

    Maj. Gen. Mario Montero presented Jay Foley, executive vice president,
operations, with the award at the annual MTMC Symposium held in Denver, Colo.
