"We are disappointed that Mike has elected to pursue other business
interests," said Minoru Nakamura, president of NNA. Though it is tough to say
'goodbye' to Mike after he has done a tremendous job during the last year, I
am confident our management team will continue to enhance the success of
Nissan. We wish Mike well in his pursuit of automotive-related opportunities
he is considering on Wall Street."
"I feel good about what the Nissan team accomplished last year," said

profitability is up 106.5 percent on a calendar year-to-date basis through
March. I didn't do this alone. I had a great team to work with and I'm
confident that Jed and the rest of my Nissan colleagues will continue the
momentum to successfully launch Nissan's barrage of new products."

Company. Connelly, who recently held the position of director of staff
operations at NNA, is promoted to vice president and general manager of the

and marketing. He joined Nissan in 1989 as national direct marketing manager
for Infiniti Division and has held other key Nissan management positions,
including regional general manager for Nissan's Southwest region in 1990 and
director of remarketing in 1994.
From 1994 -- 1998, Connelly served as vice president of sales and
marketing for Predelivery Service Corporation, a vehicle processor for Ford
Motor Company and Mitsubishi Motor Sales. In 1998, he rejoined Nissan and was
named director of staff operations for Nissan Division, where he was
responsible for distribution, and contests and incentives programs.
Prior to joining Nissan in 1989, Connelly served as director of sales for
Sterling Motorcars, an importer and distributor of Sterling Automobiles based
in England, and served in numerous management jobs at Volkswagen of America,
Inc.
