iFleet: New Name Reflects Company's Expanded Service Offerings For Fleet Industry
ATLANTA--(AutomotiveWire)--April 30, 1999--Effective April 30, Mobile Security Communications changed its name to iFleet, Inc. The change reflects the company's growing position as the leading provider of information technology and outsourcing services to commercial and automotive fleets.According to Rusty Gordon, CEO, "Our new name more accurately reflects our complete suite of services as we have moved from a provider of vehicle safety and security services to a provider of comprehensive fleet support outsourcing solutions."
As part of its strategic plan to offer these services, iFleet has acquired five business groups during the past 18 months, each of which is focused on expanding the company's fleet service offerings. Two acquisitions, Emergency Road Service, Inc.(TM), (ERS) and Rapid Response Roadservice, Inc.(R)(RRR), both of Thousand Oaks, California, merge iFleet's technology and information services with established remote response systems. AutoVIN, one of iFleet's start-up companies, has become a leading national provider of technology-enabled automotive field services, providing a comprehensive suite of inspection and auditing services.
