Teleflex Increases Dividend 13 Percent

    PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa.--April 30, 1999--Teleflex Incorporated announced today that its Board of Directors had declared an increase in the quarterly cash dividend from eleven and one half cents ($0.115) per share to thirteen cents ($0.13) per share of common stock. This dividend is payable June 15, 1999 to shareholders of record at the close of business on May 25, 1999. The new annual rate of 52 cents per share is an increase of 13 percent over the previous rate.
    Teleflex has increased its cash dividend to shareholders in each of the 22 years since it began paying dividends in 1977.
