Federal-Mogul Named Jasper Preferred Partner
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 30 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's
Malden, Missouri, facility was named a Preferred Partner by Jasper
Engines & Transmissions, one of the nation's leading remanufacturers of
drivetrain components, and one of Federal-Mogul's largest customers.
The Preferred Partner Award is presented annually to recognize Jasper's
"Partners in Success." Recipients are nominated by a purchaser within the
Jasper organization and are judged on quality, service, fill-rate, response
time and billing/credit procedures, among other criteria.
"We are extremely proud of the strong partnerships we have developed with
our customers," said Alan Johnson, executive vice president, Powertrain
Systems. "This award proves that our efforts to meet and exceed our
customers' expectations are working."
The Federal-Mogul Malden piston plant was one of only eight Jasper vendors
to receive the award, out of its 3,200 suppliers. "This award truly is
designed for the best of the best. This award is for companies that are the
cream of the crop," said Doug Bawel, president of Jasper Engines &
Transmissions. "Over the next twelve months, you have earned the right to
brag to the world that you are a Preferred Partner of Jasper."
