Federal-Mogul Honored by Toyota for Excellent Delivery Peformance

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 30 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation
has earned Excellent Delivery Performance Awards from Toyota Motor
Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TMMNA).  The company's Skokie, Illinois,
Sealing Systems facility and Powertrain Systems facility in Greenville,
Michigan, each received Excellent Delivery Performance and Certificate of
Achievement awards for quality and delivery.
    "We are extremely proud of this team's outstanding commitment in meeting
the strict standards set by Toyota, which are quite possibly the toughest in
the industry," said Alan Johnson, executive vice president, Powertrain
Systems.
    Awards are given annually to suppliers providing the highest standards in
quality, delivery, value improvement and cost reduction for parts, materials,
transportation and export.  The awards were presented during TMMNA's annual
Supplier Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony.
    "This honor is a great tribute to the fine efforts our employees have
diligently put forth to serve such an important customer," said Willi
Schmelzer, executive vice president, Sealing Systems.  "We are delighted that
our products, processes and services are recognized in such a competitive

    With nearly 500 employees, the Greenville, Michigan, facility manufactures
automotive and heavy-duty engine bearings.  The Skokie, Illinois, facility has
2,100 employees and manufactures a broad line of technically advanced gaskets
for the automotive and heavy-duty vehicle markets.
