CCC's Glendale Office Again Plays Host to I-CAR Training CoursesCCC Extends Its Support of the Collision Repair Industry CHICAGO, April 30 -- Extending its support for the collision repair industry, CCC Information Services Inc. announced today that it will again play host to I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair) certification training classes this spring in CCC's Glendora, Calif., Development Center. CCC periodically provides space to I-CAR in the 85,000-square-foot Glendora facility, home to CCC database developers and programmers. Classes are open to all collision repair facilities in the region. In addition, all CCC Glendora professionals attend I-CAR classes and earn I-CAR certification. This spring's I-CAR course at CCC is Collision Repair 2000, which provides up-to-the-minute information on damage analysis, repair, sectioning and parts replacement to help reduce costly mistakes, increase efficiency and protect against liability exposure. "CCC is proud to open our doors to I-CAR," said Jack Rozint, senior vice president for CCC. "We've always been committed to the collision repair industry; we hold special events and donate time and money to diverse industry organizations. Hosting I-CAR's classes is just one more way for us to give back. We believe so strongly in I-CAR training that we have our own developers take these classes to ensure they have the most advanced collision repair knowledge. In fact, within two years, almost 30 CCC programmers have earned I-CAR certification." CCC also provides funding for the I-CAR Educational Foundation as well as for the National Auto Body Council (NABC), Collision Technician Apprentice Program (CTAP), Automotive Management Institute (AMI) and Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA). "I-CAR appreciates the help," commented Donnakerri Hofstetter, South Pacific Regional Manager for I-CAR. "These classes are quite popular, and having access to a facility like CCC's, we can accommodate all of our students. Collision repair professionals have an enormous amount of technical information to absorb all the time. When vendors share their resources to make that training possible, the entire industry benefits." Founded in 1979, I-CAR is a nonprofit training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of consumers. The organization trains 30,000 people nationwide each year in more than 300 locations in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, New Zealand, Puerto Rico and Japan. Consumers seek out collision repair facilities with I-CAR Gold Class Professional and other certifications because they attest that the facility has up-to-date training. In addition, many insurance companies require their DRP collision repair facilities to earn certifications, including I-CAR certification. CCC Information Services Inc., headquartered in Chicago, Ill., is the automotive claims industry's leading supplier of advanced software and communications systems. Its value-added, technology-based products and services increase efficiency and facilitate communication among more than 13,500 collision repair facilities, 4,400 dealerships, 350 insurance companies and a range of business partners.
