Guide Corporation Gains Subaru-Isuzu Quality AwardANDERSON, Ind., April 29 -- Guide Corporation has been awarded The 1998 Quality Achievement Award by Subaru-Isuzu Automotive Inc. The announcement was made by Carey Winkel, vice president of sales, marketing and planning for Guide Corporation of Anderson, Ind. Winkel said the award was presented by Naofumi Horie, Subaru-Isuzu Automotive, Inc. executive vice president, manufacturing/engineering, to: Allan Small, vice president, quality, at Guide Corporation; Gerardo Barrera, Guide Corporation product manager; and Ralph Hill, quality director of Delphi Interior Lighting. The award was presented today at SIA's annual Supplier Award luncheon ceremony in West Lafayette, Ind. "The award from Subaru-Isuzu Automotive for quality achievement is a milestone in Guide Corporation's development as an independent lighting supplier to the global automotive market," added Winkel. "We are grateful for this prestigious award and our partnership with Subaru-Isuzu Automotive." Formed last year following General Motors' spin-off of its Delphi Lighting Division, Guide Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of automotive lighting components. With 3,000 employees worldwide, Guide Corporation is headquartered in Anderson, Ind.
