AlliedSignal Names Lucia Luce Quinn Corporate Vice President Of Marketing
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J.--April 29, 1999-- AlliedSignal Inc. today announced that Lucia Luce Quinn has been named corporate Vice President of Marketing.Quinn, 45, had been serving as Vice President of Brand Strategy and Management, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Maynard, Massachusetts. She joined DEC in 1989 and held various senior management positions with the company leading up to her most recent assignment, including Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Alliances, and Vice President of the Company's Windows NT(tm) business.
In her role, Quinn will head AlliedSignal's global marketing leadership team and be responsible for strengthening and aligning the company's global marketing efforts with its aggressive growth programs. She will report to AlliedSignal Vice President & Chief Growth Officer Barry Siadat, who described Quinn as "a marketing innovator and leader who has the vision, proven skills and management experience to strengthen the company's product and service marketing efforts across the organization."
"Lucia will work closely with the company's various businesses to further integrate their marketing, customer, and growth processes," Siadat said. "She also will provide product and brand management, market research, and marketing communications counsel and support."
Prior to joining DEC, Quinn was vice president and senior partner at Harbor Research Corporation, a Boston-based management consulting and research company.
A 1975 graduate of Simmons College in Boston, where she is now a trustee, Quinn launched her corporate career at the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she held business and marketing communications strategist positions.
