Two Publishing Experts Join Hemmings Motor News To Help Expand Collector Car Communications Base
    BENNINGTON, Vt., April 26 -- HEMMINGS MOTOR NEWS has
announced the addition of two publishing experts to broaden its publications
base and increase communications with the expanding collector car hobby.
    Douglas Damerst was appointed director of publications and new products
and Richard Lentinello was named executive editor.
    Damerst has spent the past 25 years as editor and publisher for various
publications ranging from the Denver Post Sunday, Car & Travel and AAA Today
magazines, including the development and launch of AAA's national magazine.
As the director of publications and new products, Damerst will oversee
Hemmings new publications such as ACCESS, as well as current offerings like
SPECIAL INTEREST AUTOS.  He will also be in charge of developing new Hemmings
publications and related products.
    After graduating from Pratt Institute, Richard Lentinello, became active
in the editorial field, specializing in high performance auto magazines, most
recently as editorial director of HIGH PERFORMANCE PONTIAC magazine.  As
executive editor, Lentinello will be working with the SPECIAL INTEREST AUTOS
and other Hemmings publications helping expand the old car hobby
communications with the muscle car and street rod audiences.
    HEMMINGS MOTOR NEWS, launched in 1954, with over 800 pages each month and
a circulation of more than 260,000, serves all segments of the old car hobby
with classified and display advertising for vehicles for sale, parts and tool
vendors, restoration services, and other hard-to-find sources for the
hobbyist.  The companion magazine -- SPECIAL INTEREST AUTOS -- is published
bi-monthly for 34,000 subscribers and features reviews, comparisons, and road
tests of popular and unusual collectible cars.
    The company also publishes the annual Hemmings Vintage Auto Almanac,
featuring more than 3,000 vendor listings, car clubs and museums.  Hemmings
maintains a merchandising catalog including a line of unique collector vehicle
calendars, collectible die-cast model cars and truck banks, and wearables.

parts, and etc., plus a host of other items useful to the hobbyist.
