IERC Expands ZIF PC Board Retainer Line With New, Low Cost Product
ELKHART, Ind.--April 22, 1999--CTS Corporation today announced that its IERC thermal management device business, located in Burbank, California, has introduced a new line of low cost, zero insertion force (ZIF) printed circuit board (PCB) retainers.These new spring lock ZIF PCB retainers provide a cost effective solution for commercial printed circuit board mounting. The IERC ZIF retainers furnish an effective thermal interface between the printed circuit board and the dissipating card cage coldwall, allowing for the even distribution of heat. It additionally provides superior retention of the printed circuit board, therefore, increasing the reliability of the electronic modules or systems. The unique locking lever presents an immediate and clear visual indication of the locking status.
The new spring lock ZIF retainer is manufactured from precision cold rolled steel and has a gold zinc finish. It is available in 3, 4 and 6-inch lengths. The lever-actuated design provides fast and simple ease of insertion and removal of printed circuit boards into the chassis.
IERC spring lock ZIF retainers are offered worldwide through CTS and IERC representatives and agents. A 4" IERC ZIF PCB retainer is priced at less than $3.75 each in volume production quantities and is available in 6 to 8 weeks from receipt of order.
