Ford Motor Company Recognizes Bourns with Prestigious Q1 Award for Outstanding Quality, Service and Performance as a Supplier
Logan, Utah Facility Wins Q1 Award Reflecting Bourns'
Ongoing Commitment to Excellence
RIVERSIDE, Calif., April 19 -- Bourns, Inc., a leading
manufacturer of passive components, announced today that it has received Ford
Motor Company's prestigious Q1 Award in honor of the superior quality, service
and performance that the company has demonstrated as a supplier to the
automotive company.
Presented by Visteon, Ford's Electronics Division, the award not only
recognizes Bourns for its commitment to customer service, support, and on-time
delivery, but also for the manufacturing excellence of its Logan, Utah
facility, which received high scores on Ford's stringent facility audit. This
award raises Bourns' Logan facility to "preferred quality" status as a
supplier to Ford Motor Company. In addition to providing further incentive to
achieve QS9000 certification at the Logan facility, the award symbolizes the
deepening relationship between the two companies.

demonstrated the quality and performance of their products and services time
and again," said Keith Seamands, STA-Field Engineer at Ford Motor Company who
represented Visteon and made the presentation. "We are very excited that
Bourns is ramping up its Logan facility for QS9000 certification, and feel it
will further sow our relationship with them."
Highly acclaimed for its own quality standards, Ford requires that
suppliers meet special product qualifications in order to do business with the
automotive company. "The Ford Q1 Award is great recognition for the quality
of our products, processes, and services," said Floyd Naegle, Plant Manager of
Bourns' Logan, Utah facility. "Most of all, it is a recognition of the great
employees that work in our factory and their commitment to our objectives.
Exemplifying this commitment to improvement, our next goal is to achieve
QS9000 certification."
