SPX Service Solutions Selected As Service Equipment Program Partner By Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc.
    WARREN, Mich., April 16 -- Service Solutions, a unit of SPX
Corporation , today announced an agreement with
Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc., Rolling Meadows, Illinois, to assume the
administrative functions of Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc.'s service equipment
program.  Under the agreement, SPX Service Solutions will market
Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc.'s "approved" service equipment to over 3,800
Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. dealers throughout the United States.  Prior to
this agreement, Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. managed its service equipment
program internally.
    As the administrator of Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc.'s service equipment
program in the United States, SPX Service Solutions will provide:

    *  Access to thousands of Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. approved products
       and equipment

    *  Free equipment and systems planning service for new facilities and
       major renovations

       equipment catalog
    *  Guaranteed one year minimum parts and labor warranty on all equipment
