96th AAA Annual Meeting Set This Month In San DiegoSAN DIEGO, April 12 -- More than 1,000 delegates and auto club executives will gather at the Hyatt Regency San Diego April 19-20 for AAA's 96th Annual Meeting. Delegates representing AAA's 91 affiliated clubs in the United States and Canada will elect officers, discuss and vote on policy issues, and hear presentations on business and technology trends. Keynote speaker for the two-day event will be Mike Jackson, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz of North America, who will discuss the luxury automaker's strategy for success. Other speakers include Carl Pascarella, president and CEO of VISA U.S.A.; Noel Irwin Hentschel, chairman and CEO of Los Angeles-based AmericanTours International; and Patrick Buchanan and Bill Press, who crossed paths nightly on CNN-TV's Crossfire. This is the third time in nine years AAA has held its annual meeting in California. The 1994 meeting was held in San Francisco and the 1991 session was in Palm Desert. AAA is a not-for-profit federation with more than 1,000 offices providing nearly 42 million members in the United States and Canada with travel, insurance, financial and auto-related services.
