New Auto Club Award Recognizes Local Towing Contractors for Excellent Performance

LOS ANGELES--April 12, 1999--The Automobile Club of Southern California has presented its first annual Service Pro Award to 37 local towing contractors that met high performance standards every quarter during 1998.
The award recipients represent the top 10 percent of all stations in a network of more than 300 contractors that provide 24-hour towing and other roadside assistance for Auto Club members.
Three of the 37 stations -- Dinuba Towing in Dinuba, Cesare's Visalia Service Center in Visalia, and San Gabriel Lock Service in San Gabriel -- received special recognition for maintaining "excellent" ratings in all performance categories during all four quarters. Additionally, Cesare's Visalia Service Center was recognized as the top performer and received the Service Provider of the Year award.
Service Pro honorees are rated according to call response time, number of complaints and member satisfaction with service.
"We developed the Service Pro Award to recognize contract stations that consistently provide top-quality services to our members," said John Brower, group manager of contract station relations for the Auto Club. "Our members depend on the Auto Club when they need us most, so we work closely with our contractors to ensure they are capable of delivering the level of service we expect from them."
