    NEW YORK--April 12, 1999--UnitedAuto Group, Inc. , the nation's second largest publicly-traded automotive retailer, requested that the New York Stock Exchange suspend trading of the Company's stock pending a potential news release, which is expected on Monday, April 12, 1999.
