UAW to File Suit Against Ohio Bureau of Workers' CompensationSuit Seeks to Recover Billions for Injured Workers' Claims COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 8 -- Today Warren Davis, Director Region 2, UAW and Lloyd Mahaffey, Director Region 2B, UAW announced they will file a lawsuit on behalf of the over 100,000 members of the United Auto Workers throughout the state to put a stop to the corporate raiding of the Bureau of Workers' Compensation Fund (BWC). The original action, to be filed on Friday April 9, 1999, asks that the BWC cease the raiding of the Bureau of Workers' Compensation Fund. The suit aims to recover billions of dollars earmarked for injured workers' claims. Details of the suit will made available when the suit is filed tomorrow.
