Dana Corporation Stock Highest-Ranking Automotive Supplier Among Better Investing Top 100Stock Gained 193 Percent for Growth Fund Portfolio Since 1990 TOLEDO, Ohio, April 8 -- Dana Corporation common stock is one of the 100 most popular and widely held issues among investment clubs of the National Association of Investors Corporation (NAIC) and its members nationwide. Dana ranked 31st, in terms of the number of shares held, in a list compiled by Better Investing magazine for its April 1999 issue. Better Investing is the official publication of the NAIC -- a non-profit organization dedicated to investor education with 730,000 individual and investment club members. Dana also ranked 39th in total value of shares held by investment clubs and 55th in the number of investment clubs holding the stock. Dana was the highest-ranked automotive supplier in each of the three categories rated. The NAIC noted that Dana has regularly increased its cash dividend, its profits have grown, and it has reinvested in its business for future growth. In February, Dana's Board of Directors raised the company's quarterly dividend to $0.31 per share, marking the company's 245th consecutive dividend without a missed or reduced payment. Dana's performance and record of growth is reflected by Dana's inclusion, since September 1990, in the NAIC Growth Fund Portfolio. Since that time, Dana stock has gained 193 percent in value. According to NAIC, Dana was chosen for its growth fund because it "is the leader in its industry, and a very efficient operator as shown by the new level of percentage earned on invested capital."
