Microphonics Appoints Alan Abrams as Business Manager

    NASHVILLE, Tenn.--April 8, 1999--Microphonics (OTC BB:MRPS), the leading company in ultrasound detection training and equipment, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Abrams as its Business Manager.
    The announcement was made today by Microphonics Chief Executive Officer, Jimmy Gayle. In making the announcement Gayle said, "Mr. Abrams brings a long record of outstanding accomplishments in the financial end of the business world to Microphonics. We are pleased to have someone of his caliber join our company. He will focus on taking Microphonics to the next level." Gayle added, "Mr. Abrams' most immediate concerns will be to monitor and manage all aspects of Microphonics' contract processes and to streamline our buying cycle."
    In addition to his position with Microphonics, Abrams is currently the owner of Tennessee Funding Co., which he founded in 1994. From 1989 to 1994, he was vice president and general manager of TIC Financial Systems, located in Nashville, Tenn. Abrams was senior vice president of Comdata Network Inc., between 1972 and 1985. He also served on the company's board of directors during this time. At Comdata, he was responsible for the development, implementation and execution of all major marketing and promotional programs that ultimately contributed to the success and growth of the company.
