    MIAMI, April 8 -- Toyota's three Mobile-area dealers report a
27-percent gain in March retail car sales and a 24 percent advance in retail
truck sales over the year-ago month.
Mobile-area dealers include Airport Toyota, Springhill Toyota and Bob
Tyler Toyota in Pensacola.
In the five-state region served by Southeast Toyota Distributors, Inc.,
March retail car sales climbed four percent while retail truck sales increased
16 percent.

the two-wheel-drive Tacoma pickup, up 36 percent; the Corolla sedan, up 26
percent; and the Sienna minivan, up 15 percent.
"Bolstered by strong market conditions, a competitive product lineup and
increased availability, our dealers continued to gain ground in March," said
Southeast Toyota General Manager John Williams.
Ranked first among Toyota's American distributors in sales and customer
satisfaction, Southeast Toyota is the independent distributor of Toyotas in
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Owned and
