George F. Daniels Appointed Group President

George F. Daniels Appointed Group President, McCord Winn Textron and Kautex Textron North America
    TROY, Mich., April 7 -- Textron Automotive Company Inc. today
announced the promotion of George F. Daniels to the position of Group
President, McCord Winn Textron, Manchester, NH and Kautex Textron North
America, Troy, MI.
    Daniels, 50, has been serving as President of McCord Winn Textron since
1995.  In this new position, he will report to Hans Dieter Lesch, President,
Kautex Textron, worldwide, headquartered in Bonn, Germany. Jane L. Warner, 52,
will continue to serve as President, Kautex Textron North America.
    "In this new role, George will intensify the company's efforts to take
advantage of the many synergistic opportunities that exist between the
divisions on a global basis," said John A. Janitz, Textron Inc. President, COO
and Director.  "In addition, his strong leadership capabilities in the area of
new, innovative product development will greatly enhance the management teams
of both operations."
    Daniels joined McCord Winn in 1991 as Vice President, Operations and
served in that capacity until his promotion to Senior Vice President, Domestic
Operations in 1993.  In January 1995, he began his tenure as President.
