CCC's Jim Dickens Promoted to Autobody Group Vice President
Will Help Clients Smoothly Transition to Pathways(R)

CHICAGO, April 6 -- CCC Information Services Inc.
, the leading provider of solutions to the automotive claims
industry, announced today that it has promoted Jim Dickens to Group Vice
President, Autobody. In his new role, Dickens will oversee all field
operations, including sales, training and customer service.
A primary focus for Dickens and his team will be to smooth the transition
for customers upgrading to CCC's Pathways(R) family of products featuring
workflow design and integration with highly advanced management systems that
feature Internet integration. As more collision repair facilities understand
the advantages of workflow in improved productivity and efficiency, they are
driving demand for CCC's Pathways systems and tools.
Dickens, 37, joined CCC in 1991 as manager of Value-Added Reseller (VAR)
relations. In that position, he built a reseller network responsible for
developing more than 1,000 collision repair customers. Dickens became Product
Manager for EZNet Ordering in 1993 and Director of National Accounts, Autobody
Group in 1995. In 1997, he was promoted to Vice President, New Business
Development, launching CCC's management system product line including
Pathways(R) Enterprise Solution. In 1998, he was named Zone Vice President
for the Midwest.
"Jim's extensive management experience in nearly every function with our
Autobody Group will be invaluable to him -- and to our customers -- in this
new position," said John Buckner, President of CCC's Automotive Services
Division. "His role in launching Pathways Enterprise Solution, in particular,
makes him an excellent choice as more clients select Pathways for their
collision repair facilities."

The Pathways family of products includes:
-- Pathways Enterprise Solution, the next generation in shop management
technology that automates all aspects of large-scale collision-repair
businesses in a completely integrated system that leverages Internet
       and Windows(TM) NT capabilities.
-- The new Pathways(R) Professional Advantage system provides the advanced
management technology of Enterprise Solution in a system designed for
       businesses in a single location.
-- Pathways(R) Collision Estimating automates pricing, interactive
decision support and forms creation, streamlining repairs and speeding
       claims settlement.
-- Pathways(R) Digital Imaging electronically documents and transmits
images of vehicle damage to speed repairs, increase process control and
       reduce paperwork.

Before joining CCC, Dickens was a product engineer for DuPont's
electronics division.
