Kia Takes the Lion's Share; March 1999 is Kia's Best Sales Month Ever

    IRVINE, Calif., April 1 -- March may go in like a lion and
out like a lamb, but there is nothing tame about Kia's March sales.  Kia
Motors America today announced record sales of 11,400 vehicles for the month
of March -- its highest sales month ever.  March was also a record-breaking
month for Sephia sales and sales of the Sportage 2-Door Convertible.  Kia sold
7,283 Sephias in March, a 92 percent increase over last year, and 545 Sportage
2-Door Convertibles.  Overall sales jumped 42 percent over last year.
