The Aegis Consumer Funding Group, Inc. Announces Relocation; Announces Appointment of Donald E. Bender to the Board of Directors and CEO

    MARIETTA, Ga., March 31 -- The Aegis Consumer Funding Group,
Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ACAR) today announced the relocation and
consolidation of its executives, administrative offices, and operations center
from Marietta, Georgia to the Tampa Bay, Florida area.  Effective March 30,
1999, Aegis will suspend and eliminate all existing programs until the
relocation process is complete.  Aegis will resume business on May 1, 1999.
    The Company further announces that Donald E. Bender has been offered and
accepted, effective February 23, 1999 the positions of Chief Executive Officer
and Chairman of the Board of the Company, its subsidiaries and affiliates.
    Based in Georgia, The Aegis Consumer Funding Group, Inc. is a holding
company whose principal operating subsidiaries are engaged in the consumer
finance business primarily serving the sub-prime credit market for automobile
