GenCorp Board Declares Dividend

    FAIRLAWN, Ohio, March 31 -- Today the board of directors of
GenCorp Inc. declared a quarterly cash dividend of fifteen cents
per share on the issued and outstanding $0.10 par value common stock of the
company payable May 28, 1999 to shareholders of record on May 3, 1999.
    GenCorp is a market-driven, technology-based manufacturer with leading
positions in numerous polymer product markets as well as the automotive and
aerospace and defense industries.
