Compak & Webcor Achieve Dual Quality Certifications

            Companies Meet Demanding QS9000 and IS09001 Standards

    FLINT, Mich., March 31 -- Robert Sibilsky, Vice President and
General Manager of Compak Inc. & Webcor Packaging Corp., recently announced
the achievement of receiving QS9000 and IS09001 certification.  These unique
designations were awarded for attaining the highest levels of performance for
quality programs.  Sibilsky credited a total company effort to meet and exceed
these global standards for receiving this recognition.
    To exceed these standards, Compak & Webcor focused on quality assurance
programs that would provide the greatest returns and benefits to their
customers.  "Our customers are very diversified, so it was important to
increase our efforts to achieve QS9000 automotive as well as IS09001
certification.  Our quality team led by Mike Bailey kept us focused on this
goal during the year-long effort," Sibilsky said.
    "We believe that efforts to meet these strict global QS9000 and ISO9001
standards will ultimately provide our customers with the best packaging
products.  By working closely with our customers on these quality initiatives,

specialized corrugated packaging for the automotive aftermarket, food, paper
products, toy, gift and hardware industries.  The companies achieved dual
certification to both QS9000 and IS09001 in March of 1999.
