Simula Inc. Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

    PHOENIX--March 30, 1999--Donald W. Townsend, president and chief executive officer of Simula Inc. , Tuesday announced the appointment of James C. Dodd as vice president -- finance, treasurer, and chief financial officer. He replaces Sean K. Nolen, who left the company in February.
    Before joining Simula, Dodd served for three years as CFO and chief operating officer of Crown Point Publishing Inc., publisher of The Red Chip Review, a provider of comprehensive research coverage on approximately 250 small-cap companies throughout the United States.
    Prior to joining Crown Point Publishing in 1996, Dodd spend five years as Senior VP and CFO of Marker International, a manufacturer of ski bindings and clothing.
    Dodd began his career with Arthur Andersen in Portland, Ore., in 1968. He had been a partner for 10 years before leaving the firm in 1988.
