Dana's Fluid Systems Group Receives NUMMI's 1998 Supplier Target Achievement AwardCOLUMBIA CITY, Ind., March 29 -- The Preferred Technical Division of Dana Corporation's Fluid System Group has been awarded the 1998 Supplier Target Achievement Award for Quality and Delivery by New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI), a joint venture of Toyota and General Motors. Preferred Technical was recognized for achieving a defect rate of four parts per million (PPM) versus the NUMMI target of 15 PPM while also maintaining 100 percent on-time delivery. Preferred Technical supplies brake hose assemblies for the Geo Prism and Toyota Corolla produced in Fremont, Calif. "Achieving a quality level that's nearly 75 percent better than the customer's standard with a perfect shipping record is world-class performance in every way," said Allan Cameron, president of Dana Engine System's fluid system products.
