SPX Corporation Completes Sale of Dual-Lite Business

    MUSKEGON, Mich., March 29 -- SPX Corporation
today announced that it has completed the sale of its Dual-Lite business to
U.S. Industries .  On February 22, 1999, the company announced that
it had signed an agreement to sell Dual-Lite, a leading supplier of emergency
lighting, exit signs and central inverter systems in the U.S.
