General Motors Corporation Names BBK Once Again as 'Supplier of the Year'BBK Building a Tradition as One of General Motors' Most Valued Suppliers With Latest Recognition SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 29 -- BBK, Ltd., a leading turnaround and revitalization company, has been named as "Supplier of the Year" for 1998 by General Motors Corporation. This is the second consecutive year the Southfield, Mich.-based firm was awarded the recognition. The announcement was made today by B. N. Bahadur, CEO of BBK. "Receiving this award last year was a wonderful accomplishment for the entire BBK team, particularly since we were the first-ever financial services company selected," Bahadur said. "Yet, in many ways, this second recognition is even better. Supplier of the Year companies were chosen by select GM teams of purchasing, quality, engineering and manufacturing people from around the world for this international recognition, which is in its seventh year. BBK was among only a handful of suppliers selected, 184 out of some 30,000 total suppliers serving the automaker. Award winners represent 29 countries. "Of GM's 30,000 suppliers, BBK is one of only 184 that has achieved Supplier of the Year recognition for 1998, an honor accorded to those suppliers who have achieved world-class levels of quality, service, technology and price in support of General Motors."
