LATINtalk Newsletter Makes Debut, Announces HCI GroupNewsletter Targets U.S. and Canadian Automotive Suppliers Expanding to Mexico & South America DETROIT, March 25 -- U.S. and Canadian automotive component suppliers looking to gain a better understanding of the "do's and don'ts" of conducting business in Mexico and South America have a new information source -- LATINtalk, a newsletter published by HCI Group. The newsletter will initially be distributed to the 5,500 automotive supplier executives who currently receive HCI Group's sister publication, EUROtalk. "Because the auto industry historically has been nationalistic by nature, component suppliers focussed efforts mainly on their domestic or local industry. Over the past several years as automakers developed plans to assemble cars locally in foreign markets, top suppliers followed. Now the entire supply chain is being forced to satisfy its customer base on a global scale," notes Ronald Hesse, president of the HCI Group, Ltd. "Suppliers are not really properly prepared. They are learning on the run. That is where the LATINtalk and EUROtalk newsletters help suppliers: on the operational and business issues of competing successfully in foreign markets." Each issue of LATINtalk will cover subjects such as joint-ventures, acquisitions, tax, legal, logistics, customs, IT support, banking, site selection, real estate, construction, executive recruitment and labor, cultural and language training, temporary corporate housing, and other important issues. The publication is targeted to automotive supplier executives such as presidents, CEO's, vice presidents and other executives directly responsible for international activities, expansions and operations. Chicago-based HCI Group unites automotive supplier executives with Global Experts in a variety of important business and operational subject areas. HCI Group unites executives with Global Experts through the EUROtalk, LATINtalk and AMERItalk newsletters, Automotive Globalization Executive Seminars, the http://www.euroautoindustry.com web site, TIER ONE Programs, One-on-One Meetings, the GLOBALtools product catalog, the A.S.T.E.P. international internship program (Automotive Supplier Trainee Exchange Program), and other informational, educational and networking processes.
