Miami-Dade County Public Schools Equips School Buses with Purifiner Oil Bypass Purification System

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.--March 24, 1999--Puradyn Filter Technologies (OTC:PFTI) announced Wednesday that Miami-Dade County Public Schools (the fourth largest School District in the country) has equipped over 1,125 school buses with the Puradyn Onboard Bypass Oil Purification System (the Purifiner) and has committed to ordering approximately 400 more units for additional maintenance equipment that Miami-Dade maintains.
Miami-Dade Public Schools states that prior to the Puradyn Bypass Filter, they were changing the oil and filter every 6,000 miles. Now, with the Purifiner, Miami-Dade changes the Puradyn filter and the engine's full-flow filter every 18,000 miles, followed by taking an oil analysis which shows the oil is good for continued use.
Miami-Dade has not changed the oil since installing Puradyn's Purifiner; some buses have gone over 90,000 miles without an oil change.
Puradyn Filter Technologies Inc. manufactures and markets a patented pollution-reduction technology designed to reduce (or eliminate) oil changes and extend the useful life of engine equipment by providing a continuous oil purification process. The Purifiner is a bypass filtering system that removes solid contaminants down to less than 1 micron and evaporates liquid contaminants such as fuel, water, and antifreeze, while replenishing the engine oil additives as they are consumed during normal use. To Puradyn customers this can mean significant dollar savings associated with 1) extended oil drains through reduced purchases of new oil; 2) reduced disposal costs of waste oil; 3) longer engine life with less replacement of worn parts; 4) less downtime/increased productivity; and 5) better resale value due to less engine wear. Because the Purifiner reduces or eliminates oil changes, it helps protect our environment by substantially reducing waste oil which is a primary source of environmental pollution.
The Puradyn system is applicable for internal combustion engines and hydraulic use in the automotive, transportation, construction, marine, agriculture, mining, military, and power generator industries.
Puradyn's worldwide corporate headquarters, and plant are located at:

3020 High Ridge Road, Suite 100 Boynton Beach, Florida 33426
