Budget Group Signs Five-Year Outsourcing Agreement with CSCDAYTONA BEACH, Fla., March 22 -- Budget Group, Inc. today announced the signing of a five-year global technology agreement with Computer Sciences Corporation . The five-year agreement, valued at approximately $200 million, calls for CSC to combine its outsourcing and business transformation skills to help streamline and consolidate Budget Group's Information Technology (I/T) operations. As part of the agreement, CSC will run and manage the I/T operations of Budget Group's Budget Rent a Car, Budget International and Budget Car Sales subsidiaries. These I/T operations include data centers, networks, user support, applications and maintenance. In addition, about 100 Budget Group subsidiary employees -- more than 95% of the people offered jobs -- have agreed to join CSC in Budget locations spanning Chicago, Indianapolis, Orlando, Dallas, France and the U.K. Budget Group, Inc. is a global network of vehicle rental and sales companies operating in three principal segments: Car Rental, Truck Rental and Car Sales.
