AlliedSignal Names Jeff Wilke Vice President/General Manager Of Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals Business
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J.--March 22, 1999--Jeff Wilke has been named Vice President and General Manager of AlliedSignal's Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals business, it was announced today by Gary C. Cappeline, President, AlliedSignal Specialty Chemicals.Wilke has been serving as General Manager of AlliedSignal's Carbon Materials and Technologies business since 1997.
The Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals business is a leading global producer of pharmaceutical bulk active and advanced intermediate chemicals. Pharmaceutical companies use these compounds to produce products ranging from over-the-counter medications to prescription drugs.

Wilke joined AlliedSignal in 1993 and has held business management positions in the company's Polymers, Electronic Materials and Specialty Chemicals businesses. Before joining the company, he was senior consultant at Andersen Consulting in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Wilke holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from Princeton University, and an M.S. in chemical engineering and an M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals operates cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice), FDA-inspected manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Ireland, Italy, Germany and the Bahamas. Its core competencies include bromination, fluorination, oximation and organometallic chemistry (Grignard reaction). Custom synthesis and chiral separations are also available.
The business has more than 1,300 cubic meters of cGMP capacity, making it one of the largest independent suppliers to the global pharmaceutical industry.
