Daytona International Speedway Becomes First Motorsports Facility to Offer On-Line Ticket Sales
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA.--March 19, 1999-- International Speedway Corporation ("ISC") , today announced that Daytona International Speedway has become the first motorsports facility to offer race fans the opportunity to purchase major event tickets on line from its in-house ticket system.Customers can purchase tickets for the July 3rd Pepsi 400 "Under the Lights" at the Daytona International Speedway by visiting www.daytonausa.com. A unique feature allows fans to choose their seats, and through the use of racing action video, assess the view from their selected seat location. When purchasing tickets on-line, customers can specify the number of reserved seats they wish to purchase, instruct the system to find the best seats available for the event, or request a list of grandstand locations where they can choose seats by location and price. Transactions are secure and orders are processed instantly.
"By offering tickets on line from our own ticket office, we can provide yet another fan amenity not found at any other track," said John Graham, President of Daytona International Speedway. "This unique service facilitates the ticket-selling process and should enhance sales by providing yet another outlet for our customers."
In addition to the Pepsi 400 at Daytona, Daytona International Speedway is home to other prestigious motorsports events including the Daytona 500, Rolex 24 at Daytona, and the Daytona 200. ISC anticipates that some of its other speedways will soon offer on-line ticket selling services.
