Spring Chevy/Vettefest Features the Largest All-Indoor Chevrolet and Corvette Car Show, Swap Meet and Car SaleAttendance of Over 50,000 Will be Expected at the Spring 1999 Edition Of Chevy/Vettefest Nationals, March 27 & 28, at Chicago's McCormick Place East Building JUSTICE, Ill., March 18 -- This show is for the entire family and will feature show quality Chevrolets and Corvettes from antique to present cars of today. This mammoth show will also feature a car sale and swap meet. Show hours will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The swap meet portion will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10.00 for adults. Children under 12 will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult. McCormick Place is located at 2300 South Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. See from the "Mild to the Wild" in the "Custom Cavalcade." Street Rods, Dragsters, Customs and Modified Chevys and Corvettes of all descriptions will be competing for trophies and cash awards. Original and restored/original Chevrolets and Corvettes from across the nation will be competing for one of the nation's most prestigious automotive awards: the Gold Spinner. Cars entered in the "Gold Spinner Concourse" span decades of automotive history, from the 50's to current models. These cars are judged on rigorous tests of originality, condition, attention to detail and cleanliness. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Spinner plaque awards will be awarded based on percentage of total points achieved. The Chevy/Vettefest will also feature the nation's largest all-indoor, all Chevrolet and Corvette swap meet. Over 500 exhibitors will display the largest selection of auto parts and accessories you will find anywhere. Whether purist or restorer, there will be new, used, NOS parts along with reproduction, chrome and hi-performance parts. This is one of the premier outings for the vendors in the trade to showcase their products to the public. Chevy/Vettefest has become "The Place" to buy or sell cars in our auctionless car sale section. From Pristine originals to Fix-Me Up specials, these cars are bought or sold directly between buyer and seller with no commission fees paid. Over 50,000 people came through the gates at last fall's event and this edition will be anticipating a larger crowd.
