The Hertz Corporation Announces Pricing of $300 Million of Senior Notes

    PARK RIDGE, N.J., March 16 -- The Hertz Corporation
, the world's largest car rental company and a leading industrial
and construction equipment rental business has announced the issuance of
$300 million of Senior Notes due March 15, 2009.  These notes were priced to
yield 6.359%.  These securities were offered through a group of underwriters
led by Chase Securities, Inc.  The Company intends to use the net proceeds to
reduce short-term indebtedness.
