AlliedSignal Names John H. Weber President Of Friction Materials Business
TROY, Mich.--March 16, 1999--AlliedSignal Inc. announced today that John H. Weber has been named President of the company's Friction Materials business.Weber, 43, had been serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of KN Energy Inc., a Denver, Colorado-based integrated energy services company and natural gas provider. He joined KN Energy in 1998 and has been credited with the company's successful restructuring initiatives.

"Our Friction Materials business is a strong organization with state-of-the-art products, and we're confident that with John's leadership the business will be able to significantly accelerate its growth and profitability."
Before joining KN Energy, Weber was with Aeroquip-Vickers, Inc., Toledo, Ohio, a developer and manufacturer of engineered components and systems for industrial, aerospace and automotive markets. He served from 1996 to 1998 as President of Vickers Inc., one of the company's two main operating units, and as Executive Vice President of the parent company. He was Group Vice President of the Vickers Industrial Group from 1994 to 1996.
Weber also held a variety of business leadership positions with General Electric Company and Baxter International. His posts at GE included general manager of international business development for GE International in London, England.
Weber holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toronto and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
