Standard Motor Products, Inc. Acquires Eaglemotive Corporation From Mark IV Industries, Inc.

    NEW YORK, March 9 -- Standard Motor Products, Inc.
automotive replacement parts manufacturer and distributor
announces that it has completed the acquisition of the stock of Eaglemotive
Corporation from Mark IV Industries, Inc. for cash consideration of
approximately $13,400,000.
    Eaglemotive Corporation manufactures and distributes fan clutches and oil
coolers, which products are part of the Company's temperature control product
line.  Annual sales of the Eaglemotive business approximate $22,000,000.
