Lexus Offers Two New Ways to Enjoy Luxury and Value with the ES 300
TORRANCE, Calif., March 8 -- Lexus has increased luxury and
value for the ES 300 sedan with the addition of a handsome Coach leather
edition and a special value package.
Customers looking for the finest in luxurious appointments will appreciate
Lexus' joint effort with Coach, the world-renowned maker of fine leather
products. Previously, Lexus partnered with Coach to develop two very popular
models, the 1996 Coach Edition ES 300 and the 1997 Coach Edition LS 400.
The 1999 Coach Edition ES 300 comes in three colors and features a unique
interior, exclusive wheels and badging, and some of the ES 300's most popular
options as standard items. The interior of the ES 300 has Coach leather on
the seats, door and steering wheel, as well as custom walnut interior trim.
The signature Coach logo is featured on the armrest and embroidered on the
floor mats. Additionally, the power tilt-and-slide moonroof with sunshade and
the in-dash six-disc CD autochanger are included.
The Coach Edition ES 300 comes in three colors: Golden Pearl with ivory
interior, Burnished Gold Metallic with ivory interior and Black with black or
ivory interior. It also sports special OZ alloy wheels, as well as Coach and
Lexus ES 300 badges.
As a special bonus, Coach will provide a Boston Bag and Fold-Over Suiter
from the company's new travel collection to each Coach Edition ES 300
customer.
The Coach Edition ES 300 is a limited production special edition and will
go on sale March 15 with a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of
$34,750.
Separate from the Coach Edition, Lexus is offering a Lexus Value Package
on ES 300s featuring the most popular factory options at a reduced price. The
package includes leather trim, power tilt and slide moonroof with sunshade,
and an in-dash, six-disc CD autochanger for $2,415, a savings of $1,500 over
purchasing the options separately.
ES 300s equipped with the Lexus Value Package are currently available at
Lexus dealerships.
In addition to offering unique luxury and value, the 1999 ES 300 provides
increased performance with a new 3.0-liter V6 engine which employs variable
valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i). It creates higher horsepower, lower
emissions and improved fuel economy while boosting low-rpm torque for better
acceleration. The engine is paired with a more responsive electronically
controlled automatic transmission designed to handle the higher power and
torque.
The MSRP for the base ES 300 is $30,905.
