Federal-Mogul Receives John Deere's Achieving Excellence Award ProgramSOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 4 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's Lake City, Minnesota, manufacturing facility has received top ranking from John Deere's Achieving Excellence Award Program. "I am very pleased with the strong performance of the Lake City team," said Rick Levin, vice president, Operations, Powertrain Systems - Americas. "They have received high ratings in all categories, while maintaining excellent quality standards, on-time delivery and strong technical support. Suppliers must excel in each category in order to be honored. The top ranking award is Partner Supplier. The Lake City facility received this award from the Engine Division of Deere Power Systems Group at John Deere Dubuque Works for fiscal 1998. This is the fourth consecutive year the Lake City facility has received the Partner Supplier award in addition to being named "Supplier of The Year" by the John Deere Dubuque Works, Engine Operations in 1995. The Lake City facility manufactures cylinder liners and pistons for heavy- duty original equipment vehicles and their related aftermarkets.
