KIA Continues with Strong Sales Numbers

    IRVINE, Calif., March 2 -- The Groundhog may have predicted a
long winter on Feb. 2, but it certainly cast no shadow on Kia's sales
performance.  Kia today announced sales of 6,703 vehicles for the month of
February, nearly 10 percent higher than last February.  In addition, Sportage
sales for the year are up nearly 150 percent from last year.
    Kia Motors America is the sales, marketing and service arm of Kia Motors
Corp. in Seoul, South Korea.
