MILWAUKEE, March 2 -- Johnson Controls, Inc. today announced
that it has been selected to supply all DieHard(R) and PlusStart(R) batteries
for Sears, Roebuck and Co.
"We are very pleased to be expanding our relationship with Sears," said
Keith Wandell, President of the Johnson Controls battery business. "This
agreement is a result of our on-going commitment to leadership in quality,
service and technology."
The company has been making DieHard Gold(R) batteries for Sears since

power than conventional batteries. The company is also developing IQ Control,
an electronic module for smart battery features that offers starting
protection as well as anti-theft and power management functions.
Johnson Controls, Inc. is a global market leader in automotive
systems and facility management and control. In the automotive market, it is a
major supplier of seating and interior systems, and batteries. For non-
