Dana Corporation to Build Automotive Customer Support Center in Farmington HillsTOLEDO, Ohio, March 2 -- Dana Corporation has announced plans to build a 108,000-square-foot Automotive Customer Support Center in Farmington Hills, Mich. Construction is expected to be completed by September, 1999. The eight-acre site is located between Twelve Mile Road and I-696. "Dana wishes to have a highly visible facility that serves as a focal point for its presence in the Detroit area," said Dana Corporation's president and CEO, Joe Magliochetti. "We believe we can enhance our technical leadership and overall effectiveness by having a 'hands-on' support center in the hub of the North American automotive market." The new facility will be organized around customer automotive platforms, with sales, engineering, and research and development capabilities targeted at problem-solving of issues related to noise vibration and harshness (NVH), ride, and engine performance. The center will also house an auditorium and a product display area. One of the world's largest independent suppliers to vehicle manufacturers and related aftermarkets, Dana Corporation produces components and systems used on more than 95 percent of the world's 700 million motor vehicles.
