Dana Promotes European to Head Global Sealing Products BusinessTOLEDO, Ohio, Feb. 24 -- Dana Corporation has announced the promotion of Heinz-Ubbo Eilks, who most recently served as vice president and general manager of Victor Reinz-Europe, to the position of vice president of sealing products for Dana's Engine Systems Group. In announcing the appointment, Chuck Heine, president of Dana's Engine Systems Group, said, "Heinz Eilks brings a wealth of technical, financial, manufacturing and marketing experience to his new assignment. His European perspective will be invaluable to our global Sealing Products business, our Engine Systems Group, and Dana's World Operating Committee." Eilks joined Reinz-Dichtungs as controller in 1992, a year prior to that company's acquisition by Dana. In 1996 he was named general manager of Victor Reinz Europe and was promoted to vice president and general manager in 1997. Prior to joining Dana, Eilks worked for the Gillette Company. Starting in the information technology area, he moved through a number of financial, sales and marketing assignments before assuming responsibility for the company's shaving products in Germany. Eilks holds degrees in economics and engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and has completed the Dana Executive Development Program. He serves on the board of Nippon-Reinz and Reinz-Talbros India and is a member of the European Sealing Association. Dana's sealing products business encompasses five technology centers and 20 manufacturing facilities located in 11 countries of the world. Dana Engine Systems Group provides components, modules and complete systems solutions to engine builders worldwide.
