Simpson Industries Announces Quarterly Dividend

    PLYMOUTH, Mich., Feb. 24 -- Simpson Industries, Inc.
announces that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly
dividend in the amount of $.10 per share.  The dividend is payable March 25,
1999 to shareholders of record on March 4, 1999.
