Carlisle Companies Announces Management Changes
SYRACUSE, N.Y.--February 23, 1999--Carlisle Companies Incorporated announced today the appointment of Dennis J. Hall to the position of Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, effective March 1, 1999. Since 1995 Dennis Hall has been President of Carlisle with operating responsibility for one-half of Carlisle's operating companies. This appointment gives Mr. Hall full operating responsibility and he will remain a Director of the Company. He will report to Stephen P. Munn, Carlisle's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Scott C. Selbach, Vice President Corporate Development and Steven J. Ford, Vice President General Counsel and Secretary will continue to report to Mr. Munn.Carlisle also announced the appointment of Richmond D. McKinnish to the position of Executive Vice President of Carlisle reporting to Mr. Hall. In addition to his current operating responsibility for Carlisle's Tire and Wheel division he will assume responsibility for the Motion Control, Tensolite and Carlisle FoodService divisions.
Additionally, the Company announced that Mr. John Barsanti has been appointed Vice President and Chief Financial Officer reporting to Mr. Hall. Mr. Barsanti replaces Dr. Robert Ryan who has completed his planned tenure with Carlisle and will return to the academic field and his investment advisory activities. Mr. Michael Kays, formerly President of Carlisle Container Manufacturing Company, will become President of Carlisle's Walker Stainless division replacing Mr. Barsanti. Mr. Kays will report to Mr. Richard Husted who will head the newly formed Carlisle Systems and Equipment segment as well as assume overall guidance of international development and lean enterprise development. In another change leading to expanded executive responsibility, the specialty stainless steel trailer unit of Walker will be combined with Carlisle's Trail King division to form an expanded Transport Equipment business under Mr. Jerry Thomsen, who has been President of Trial King.
Mr. Hall joined Carlisle in 1989 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and was appointed President in 1995. Mr. McKinnish joined Carlisle in 1980 and held executive positions at Carlisle Engineered Products, Tensolite and Carlisle Tire and Wheel. Mr. Barsanti joined Carlisle in 1991 initially as Vice President of Planning and Administration. Mr. Husted joined Carlisle in 1995 as President of Carlisle Transport Services Group. Mr. Thomsen began with Trail King in 1978 prior to its acquisition by Carlisle in 1995.
