Federal-Mogul Southfield Employees Raise Over $300,000 For United Way 1998 Campaign
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 19 -- Employees at Federal-Mogul's
World Headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, raised over $300,000
for the 1998 United Way Campaign serving Metropolitan Detroit area charities.
Over 75% of the employees committed funds either through payroll deduction or
a one-time donation.  In addition, the Federal-Mogul employee committee
organized a very successful silent auction with items donated by executives,
which raised over $7,000.
    "This team effort reflects our commitment to make a positive impact in our
community," said Dick Snell, chairman and chief executive officer.  "Our
locations throughout the United States are active supporters of the United
Way.  I am very proud of their efforts because we are helping to make a
difference."
